  4. To do so choose the tab for Date & Time, then set the date according to the current year.

Solution 2: Close all running QuickBooks process

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Tool Hub, and choose the option of Program Problems.
  2. Here choose the option for Quick Fix my Program. It will start processing the program.
  3. Once the QuickBooks Tool Hub finishes its work, then open your QuickBooks Desktop again.
  4.  At last, open your data file and retry to activate it.

Solution 3: Run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool from QuickBooks Tool Hub

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Tool Hub, and choose the option Installation Issues.
  2. Then select the option for QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool. 
  3. Allow it o run and give it some time as it takes up to 20 minutes.
  4. Once it completed its work, make sure to restart your system and open your QuickBooks desktop software.
  5.  At last, open your data file and retry to activate it.

Solution 4: Reactivation of  MSXML

If you have a 32- bit Operating system, you will have to follow the below activation method: 

  • From your keyboard, press the shortcut of Windows key+ R to open the RUN window.
  • Then type CMD and press Enter button
  • After that type, regsvr32 MSXML4.dll and choose the option Enter
  • At last type regsvr32 MSXML6.dll and choose the option Enter
  • o to Start Menu and type ‘cmd.’ Next is to right-click ‘Run as Administrator.’

If you have a 62-bit Operating system, you will have to follow the below activation method: 

  • From your keyboard, press the shortcut of Windows key’ and type ‘cmd’ over there. then, right-click and choose the option for ‘Run as Administrator.’
  • Once you get the c: prompt, then type cd\windows \ syswow64
  • Then enter ‘regsvr32MSXML 4.dll’ and press the option Enter.
  • And now enter ‘regsvr32MSXML 6.dll’ and press the option Enter.

Solution 5: Delete the .ecml file

Solution 7: Reinstall your QuickBooks Desktop
